How to Obtain a NetSuite Certification

The NetSuite Certification Program has become an increasingly valuable resource for users looking to develop greater skills and increase their knowledge, as well as for any clients looking to better utilize the platform.  If you haven’t yet achieved a certification, or are looking to obtain additional certifications, there’s no time like the present to dive right in.

The NetSuite Certification program was founded in 2013 and has since certified more than 4,000 individuals using the platform in a variety of different roles.  Over the past 5 years, the program has expanded and now offers seven exam-based certifications, including accreditations for both NetSuite service providers and end users.

Choosing a Certification

There are currently seven different certifications available for administrators, developers, consultants and end users.  For more information on which one is right for you, click here.

Study and Prepare

NetSuite offers a number of resources to help prepare for each of the certification exams.  Click here for descriptions on each of the different certifications, including costs, exam information, study guides, sample tests, and more.  Take the time and do your homework!  Make sure to check out the FAQ section at the bottom the description page.  A quick Google search will also reveal some helpful resources to assist in your preparation.

Register and Take the Test

Once you’ve studied up and you’re ready to take the exam, you have a few options: You can click here to find a location nearby and sign up for an in-person exam at a testing center run by Kryterion, a NetSuite contractor. Another option is to take an online exam, also managed by Kryterion.

Once you’ve completed the exam, you’ll be informed of the results immediately and know your score was a pass or fail. Annual recertification by a quiz is required for all except for the Financial User and SuiteAnalytics User certifications.
