As a Certified NetSuite Solution Provider here in Chicagoland, we receive all sorts of questions about the platform.  More often than not, the answer a user is searching for could be obtained by digging a little deeper in the NetSuite Help Center or in SuiteAnswers.  Having all of this information immediately available can seem overwhelming, but it should be your go-to when you get stuck.  You may often find the answer you were looking for was right under your nose.

If you or your team find yourselves scratching your heads, try turning to the Help Center first.  Next, try looking in SuiteAnswers, where there are more advanced “how to” instructions. About the Help Center

The Help Center provides a wealth of wisdom and can be considered the information hub of NetSuite.  If you’re stumped and looking for answers, look no further – this is the place to find them.  From your dashboard, or really from anywhere in NetSuite, click on the Help button at the top-right of your screen to enter the Help Center.  A new window will open displaying the image above. Once there, you will find context-specific instructions for a large number of topics.  You will also have the ability to enter search terms, open printable PDF guides, watch informative videos, and much more.

 

NetSuite Basics

For any new users just getting acquainted with NetSuite, the Help Center is an excellent resource.  There are explanations for some of more beginner level features such as logging into NetSuite, navigating the platform, changing your personal preferences, working with your calendar and email, etc.  A table of contents shown above is displayed on the left side of the screen, with a variety of options to choose from.  Selecting a topic to learn more about opens a cascade menu with more specific features on the topic to narrow the focus.

 

Advanced Features

For most users with experience using NetSuite, there is still an abundance of useful information to be found in the Help Center.  Many of the more advanced features are covered in extensive detail here as well.  Depending on the topic and your role, the information you’re looking for is still very likely to be found here.  If you still haven’t found the exact answer you’re searching for, at this point you should at least be heading in the right direction.

 

Additional Resources

Near the bottom of the table of contents are the Additional Resources and Frequently Asked Questions menu selections.  The Additional Resources option opens up to offer users comprehensive training resources, user guides, videos, and a glossary with multiple language options.  The numerous PDF user guides are incredibly helpful and provide insight on a variety of topics.  Frequently Asked Questions is self-explanatory and covers a number of common topics that users may typically encounter issues with.

 

SuiteAnswers

SuiteAnswers is found after entering the NetSuite Help Center, followed by clicking on the icon at the top-left of the screen.  From there, you will be redirected to the screen below.  SuiteAnswers is a searchable knowledge center that provides users with rich support articles, best practices, help topics and training videos. For help with issues that range from beginner to expert, SuiteAnswers is a powerful resource that provides a lot of very useful information.  From the SuiteAnswers page, clients can submit a case online or contact NetSuite if the matter is urgent.
